Why don't we use MICA to colour?

Sure, mica might make cosmetics look attractive and let more people choose them rather than uncolored or basic colored ones. But,  Why don’t we use Mica to color no matter what? Though considered natural and usually safe to use in cosmetics…. We still aren’t comfortable using it in our products which finally due to a few reasons. Ø     Firstly, some of the mined mica is not ethically sourced according to a few reports. Children aged 5 and above are being illegally sent for mining all day for less than a dollar/day. IT  It has led to an investigation when a few children who work as miners had lost their lives in a couple of months (Eastern part of India).
